Cowgirls:  Contemporary  Portraits  of the American  West  is a photographic collection of women who make their living as ranchers or participate in the rodeo circuit.  Ronnie Farley traveled throughout the American west from 1992-93, documenting cowgirls and oftentimes working on the ranches she photographed. Published by Crown in 1995, and reprinted by Thunder’s Mouth Press in 1998, this exhibition toured the United States from 2007-2011 as part of the national exhibits USA museum show roster.
